The main attraction of Victoria Island is Inner Harbour. It’s the main starting point towards the city and is connected to most of the attractions. All you can do is stroll through the harbor, and pass alongside the Empress Hotels and Parliament Buildings. Take part in festivals, and events, go on a boat tour, or just ride a horse-drawn carriage.

A short drive from downtown Victoria Island will lead you to Butchart Gardens. It is one of the premier tourist attractions in the area and worth your time. To witness changes in the seasons, you can visit the place all throughout the year. During winters, the gardens offer a lovely sight with an outdoor skating rink and a perfect display of lights around Christmas.

The south side of the inner harbor is home to the imposing seat of British Columbia’s provincial government. The stone buildings are quite imposing and have neat orderly gardens. You must visit during the evening time to witness a festoon of lights that look very attractive. Also, a beautiful statue of Queen Victoria surveys the inner harbor from the terrace.
