Canada's Minister of Transport, Omar Alghabra, announced an expanded air transport agreement with the UAE, recognizing it as Canada's largest air transport market in the Middle East. The airline has been serving the Toronto-Dubai route since 2007, initially with double-decker A380 aircraft from 2009. However, due to the consistently high demand from leisure and corporate travelers, diaspora, and students, the allocated capacity has been insufficient to meet the needs.
